Consider approval of Resolution 2021-76R, providing no objection to the submission of an application for low income housing tax credits to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for the proposed Sendero at Centerpoint multifamily housing project located in the 100 Block of Centerpoint Road, approving findings related to such application, imposing conditions for such non objection; providing authorizations for execution or submission of documents related to the such application, and declaring an effective date.

Again, time to designate East and West Centerpoint? We are getting more and more applications for development and we need to get this done before there are a lot more addresses to fix.

THANK YOU for providing the committee notes!

Curious, why don't we include the criteria that are met and the list of support services in the resolution?

Please note the Council Housing Committee is a committee, not a subcommittee.

When will we see the details of exactly what their "partnerships" with The Food Bank, Community Action, etc.
Analysis states they will partner with "The Village Main" but that's a building, not an agency.
United Way has relationships with a number of agencies but is not likely to provide any of these services directly.

I see they will have a community laundry room. Does that mean the units do not have washers/dryers? What about washer/dryer hook-ups? I don't find anything else searching for "washer."

We will forward this request to the addressing team.

Recital 6a.-6e. lists the five criteria that staff considers met in order to comply with the City’s LIHTC policy. Staff does not consider criteria #8, specifically 8b, fully met at this time so has not included it in the Resolution. If criteria 8 were being met all services would be listed in the Resolution. Because the application meets the minimum of 5 criteria they do no need #8 to be considered by Council.

Please note the Council Housing Committee is a committee, not a subcommittee.

Noted, apologies for the typo.

Staff has requested these details from the applicant following the January 21st and March 17th meetings and has not received an adequate response to consider criteria #8 met. The applicant has stated they are “..happy to visit further with the Council on this topic..”. The applicant is aware that in order to consider criteria #8 fully met the stated partnerships with local services and organizations need to be documented and confirmed via surety documentation such as an MOU or agreement.

I see they will have a community laundry room. Does that mean the units do not have washers/dryers? What about washer/dryer hook-ups? I don't find anything else searching for "washer."

Staff does not have details on the individual unit furnishings and amenities at this time. This question has been forwarded to the applicant for response.
