Response provided by Shaun Condor, Director of Engineering/CIP:
It looks like the list of projects are inserted screen shots. This makes it hard to read because the letters/numbers are fuzzy. And I cannot copy data from the presentation to a document or spreadsheet or here, to ask questions. I have to re-type it all. Just saying..
Yes, it is screenshots due to Microsoft PowerPoint not formatting the table properly. We can make sure the data is not a screenshot in the future.
General Fund Projects items 772 - Station number is cut off. Assuming it's the same as 771. The cut off text in the presentation is
“Station Number 7”
771. I'm pretty sure we cannot build a new station for $1M so what will this $1M fund?
The $1M will fund part of the design. Future funding in the CIP or through a Bond Election will be needed to finalize the design and pay for construction.
General Fund, Electric, Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater - I see in the detail what the projects are being deferred - to when and why?
They are being deferred 1 year because the projects are not ready for the funding at this time.
- 759 Blanco Gardens Underground – The project is waiting on Linda Drive Improvements to be completed.
- 24 Centerpoint Rd 16" Water Main Ext N. of Old Bastrop – This will be oversized by a developer and they are not ready to start construction at this time.
- 59 East IH35 WW Oversize – This will be oversized by a developer and they are not ready to start construction at this time.
- 793 Leah Drive Extension – This will be oversized by a developer and the County. They are not ready to start proceed at this time.
- 42 North Side 12in Water Connection – This will be oversized by a developer and they are not ready to start construction at this time.
- 644 Sunset Acres Neighborhood Improvements – This is funding for construction, and the project is not ready for construction at this time.
- 828 Sunset Acres Subdivision Electric – This is funding for construction, and the project is not ready for construction at this time.
Electric- What's up with the master plan?
- Staff decided to perform a minor update to the 2021 Master Plan instead of a full revision, as originally planned in the FY 2026 CIP. Due the smaller scope and the desire to accelerate this minor update, staff identified surplus Cash funding on another project to use instead taking on additional debt. STMXU would like to focus on finishing the existing projects already in motion and will plan on a full Master Plan update in a future CIP.
