Consider approval of Resolution 2021-208R, approving a Change in Service to the agreement with Hadronex, Inc. for the provision of software used to monitor wastewater
collection manholes by extending the agreement for a one-year period in the amount of $16,544.00 for a total contract price of $51,486.12 and authorizing three additional annual renewals; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the appropriate documents to implement the Change in Service; and declaring an effective date.

Response to CM Baker provided by Tyler Hjorth, Interim Director of Utilities:
We currently utilize the Hadronex monitoring system with 16 units installed at various points in the City's wastewater collection system. The 24/7 monitoring system continues to prove itself useful in providing high level alarming to warn of service disruptions in areas identified as problematic due to higher-than-normal volumes of Fats, Oils & Grease being introduced into the waste stream and level trend data for the purpose of identifying diminished pipeline capacity in relation to development and inflow and infiltration during wet weather events. We also are collecting rain data at 10 sites specified by the wastewater collection division to assist in understanding the relationship of flow level and flow changes in the collection system during wet weather events. Hadronex services currently provided and used by us: sewer spill prevention, collections system cleaning optimization, manhole intrusion, lift station backup and SmartRain for hourly rain intensity and daily totalizer.

The Wastewater division is currently evaluating expansion throughout the City while considering costs, funding methods, etc.
