Consider approval of Resolution 2026-24R, authorizing the submission of a grant application to the Office of the Governor's Public Safety Office, to fund a Cybersecurity Risk Assessment and Evaluation for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) networks and systems in an amount up to $120,000.00, with a 20 percent match; designating the City Manager, or her designee, to execute required documents for purposes of this application and any resulting grants, including authorization to accept the grant; providing assurances; and declaring an effective date.

The info includes this "We expect a report detailing a corrective action plan with mitigating controls we can implement to further secure critical infrastructure. "
I agree that this is a good project regardless, but do we think we have problems with it now?

Response provided by Mike Sturm, Director of IT:
While we remain confident that we are currently not experiencing any issues, the evolving landscape of cybersecurity vulnerabilities means there may be areas we have yet to identify. This grant funding will support our ongoing efforts to detect and address any potential concern.
