Item 09: Bus Purchase for $423,548

Consider approval of Resolution 2021-132R, approving an agreement to purchase four buses from Creative Bus Sales, through the Texas SmartBuy purchasing cooperative in the amount of $423,548.00; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the agreement on behalf of the City; and declaring effective date.

"The cost of this equipment will be covered at 100% federal share with no local dollars expended to support the purchase. TxDOT has awarded the City Transportation Development Credits to match the federal share requirements."

Since the Resolution is what we can readily find in the future, is there any reason to NOT include the funding source? Otherwise one would likely assume that City funds were used for this purchase.

Thank you Mayor. This is an excellent idea and staff will include the funding source for transit grant funded items in the recitals for future Resolutions.
