Consider approval of Ordinance 2023-82, on the first of two readings, amending Chapter 14, Article 8 of the San Marcos City Code by adopting additional local amendments to the International Property Maintenance Code that require artistic boarding up of vacant structures; providing for the repeal of conflicting provisions; providing a savings clause; and providing an effective date.

"In addition to the ordinance, there will be a resolution adopting SMTX Standards for Securing and Artistic Board-up which provides the details to meet the ordinance."

It is scheduled for the next meeting when this ordinance will get second reading as the resolution only requires one reading.
