Consider approval of Ordinance 2022-40, on the first of two readings, increasing electric utility rates charged for Large Independent, Redundant Service and Large Distributed Generation Standby Service customers; and including procedural provisions; and providing an effective date.

Response provided by Tyler Hjorth, Director of Utilities:
LIRS
Applies to commercial customers with a maximum metered demand of 1 MW (megawatt) or greater, and the customer requires two or more independent, redundant services.
LDGS
Applies to commercial customers with distributed generation resources that are at least 1 MW (megawatt) but less than 10 MW and that generate a significant portion (or all) of the customer's load requirement.
