Item 23: Purple Pipe

Hold discussion and possible direction to staff regarding increasing the installation and use of "purple pipe" (reclaimed wastewater from our plant) possibly through dedicated CIP projects or if a development code update is necessary for certain size developments. Appointment of a council committee to address this may be included with this item.

In addition to the map provided previously, here are the approved uses from TCEQ (below is the pertinent section, attached is the complete authroization):

1. We would be required to obtain authorization for any use not specified in the (Authorization) section on Page 1.
2. We would also need to be aware of specific rules for applying reclaim water (irrigation) in the Edwards Aquifer Recharge area.
