Hold a discussion regarding the possibility of refunding the application fee to the owner of Tantra for an appeal to the City Council of the decision of the Planning and Zoning Commission that placed a decibel-based noise condition on the conditional use permit for Tantra to serve alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption at 217 West Hopkins Street, and provide direction to staff.

What is the usual application fee for an alcohol CUP?
  • The filing fee for a new alcohol CUP is $1,015 ($1000 application fee + $15 technology fee)
  • The filing fee for a renewal/amendment to an alcohol CUP is $765 ($750 application fee + $15 technology fee)

What is the appeal fee?
  • If an owner of property located within 400ft of the subject property is appealing, then the appeal fee is $165 ($150 application fee + $15 technology fee)
  • All other appeals: $765 ($750 application fee + $15 technology fee)
