Is there any reason to do both, why not just start with City park?

How many spots would Rio Vista include compared to City Park. With limited staff maybe best to roll out in one place and see if the juice is worth the squeeze? What is the cost of implementing AND collecting this versus how much we would anticipate making?

Director of Parks and Recreation, Drew Wells' Response to Council Member Baker’s questions:

Is there any reason to do both, why not just start with City park? This is the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Board (in consultation with the Parking Advisory Board) to implement paid parking in both parks, but the City Council may accept the recommendation as provided, modify it or choose not accept it at this time.

How many spots would Rio Vista include compared to City Park. With limited staff maybe best to roll out in one place and see if the juice is worth the squeeze? What is the cost of implementing AND collecting this versus how much we would anticipate making? Staff has not completed any work or detailed analysis related to feasibility or implementation of this recommendation.
