Receive a Staff presentation and hold discussion regarding the City’s contract with Green Guy Recycling in preparation for an upcoming consideration of a contract extension; and provide direction to Staff.

Your slide 5. Numbers are noted for tires, tv, appliances.
Do they keep up with this as an annual max or is this per visit? I can see it is annual on the screen print from the website but the audience won't see it live or on the replay. Maybe include that in the bigger print? Thanks.

Same slide. What is the timeframe for the rate of $0.85? Monthly?

Regarding "Add mattresses and box springs to the contract" - how would that work?
Are these items not eligible for the "bulky pickup" now?
Is that how they would be picked up?

Responses provided by Amy Thomaides, Community Enhancement Initiatives Manager:
Green Guy does track what residents are bringing in for the no cost items. Residents have to bring their driver’s license and utility bill (to prove they pay the rate).

The max are annual.

The timeframe for the rate (July 1, 2023- June 30, 2024). The rate is based on the contract start date, then annually increased. If that makes sense.

Single family residential can put them in their bulk pickups. Some people have lots of mattresses and box springs. Multifamily do not have bulk pickups. They would be able to bring the items to Green Guy. Additionally, we easily fill up a 40 yard roll off at each Community Clean Up. There are lots of mattresses and box springs out there. Green Guy is cheaper than the local landfills and closer.
