Item 08: Interlocal with City of Buda on Clean Earth for Disposal of Household Hazardous Waste

Consider approval of Resolution 2023-28R, approving an interlocal agreement with City of Buda allowing the City of Buda to utilize the City of San Marcos’s contract with clean earth for disposal of household hazardous waste; authorizing the City Manager, or her designee, to execute said agreement on behalf of the City; and declaring an effective date.

How much does Hays County pay us to participate in the program, per "The City of San Marcos operates a permanent HHW facility open to all residents of Hays County."

For FY23, Hays County paid us $80,000 to participate. Buda has obtained a grant. They will be paying but wanted to collaborate in our contract for disposal.
