Consider approval of Resolution 2022-77R, awarding contracts to FMG Architects and RVK Architecture for on-call Architectural Services for an initial term of three years in a not to exceed amount of $250,000 and authorizing two additional one-year terms; authorizing the City Manager or her designee to execute the agreements on behalf of the City; and declaring an effective date.

Response provided by Laurie Moyer, Interim Assistant City Manager:
The list of two were identified as the top firms that also have experience with On-Call services with municipalities. These are typically smaller work order scopes. The longer list of approved architects are those with experience & qualifications to provide architectural services to the city. The list would be used to select for a larger project contract which would typically come back to Council for approval. The 2 on- call firms could also be selected for larger specific project contracts.
Response provided by Lynda Williams, Purchasing Manager: The on-call architectural services with RVK and FMG are for the provision of staff augmentation for project management and various vertical construction projects. This may include design and oversight of a small facility construction or minor repair project that meets the threshold of the Architectural Services Act, and assistance with facility assessments and facility planning. This will assist Public Works Facilities Division with building improvements and typically smaller as-needed projects. This program is new to the city and its not yet known the extent or use of these services therefore, it was determined that the Architectural services will not exceed a five year term.
