Consider approval of Resolution 2021-206R, approving a contract with Metro Fire Apparatus Specialists, Inc., through the Houston-Galveston Purchasing Cooperative agreement, for the purchase of a new fire engine in the amount of $789,285.00; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the contract on behalf of the City; and declaring an effective date.

What are our plans for the existing engine once the new one arrives? Maybe Christmas time next year? We may need a BIG bow...

Response to Mayor Hughson provided by Chase Stapp, Director of Public Safety:
The existing engine will be converted to a reserve (backup) engine as part of the Chief’s plan to cycle out old apparatus.
