Receive a staff update and consider, by motion, the initial authorization of text amendments to the San Marcos Land Development Code to address Airport Height Hazard Zoning and Compatibility Land Use Zoning related to the San Marcos Regional Airport.

How much do we anticipate the consultant to cost?

What are the preliminary assumptive impacts on the surrounding developments?

Response to CM Baker provided by Kirk Abbott, Project Engineer:
1. Consultant cost anticipated at $63,000.
2. If I understand the second question correctly. We are not aware of any particular existing impacts to surrounding developments. Relating to future proposed zoning regulations, existing developments around the airport are not anticipated to be impacted by such regulations. Our understanding of the Airport Zoning Act is that existing developments are grandfathered in. Future developments, after zoning regulations are codified, will be subject to regulations.
