This committee was created as a result of one of the early Vision workshops. The group began meeting so it went off the list as becoming operational. You may have noticed this on the Vision workshop slide of the topics per year and what has been taken off.
Purpose was to meet on items of mutual interest. One topic was to revive the Core 4 concept, which we did, through meetings with the relevant officials and staff.
No member of the committee has submitted a topic (requested a meeting) since the March 2019 meeting. Much gets done at the staff level.
I want to revive this committee so that we can initiate conversations of mutual interest such as Covid related items for one. Others to be determined.
Saul and I were the last City people to be appointed. Thomaides served as mayor previous to me. I'm not sure who served with him.
Commissioners Shell and Ingalsbe have served from the County. They are the two commissioners who had the most overlapping precincts in the city. They are now the only two with precincts in the city.
Trustee Cantu and McGlothlin served when I was on the committee. I believe the board decided they would send the president and vice-president of the board.
