Response provided by Tyler Hjorth, Assistant Director of Public Services; Kristy Stark, Director of Communication/Intergovernmental Relations; and Hayden Migl, Assistant to the City Manager:
Should probably use "Warn Central Texas" instead of "Everbridge" on slide 8. Everbridge happens to be our vendor now and it's changed 1-2 times in the last few years. Warn Central Texas should always be a good term to use as it will be consistent and it's what the public knows. HM: The presentation has been revised to include both terms.
Slide 10 - not sure all watching or reading the packet will know what "Teams" is. Again, a brand name when a generic name would be helpful. HM: The presentation has been revised to indicate TEAMS is a virtual meeting platform.
Maximo - how about just "utility work orders" HM: A note has been added to the presentation defining the program.
Slide 38 - what is EEA? HM: EEA stands for Energy Emergency Alert. A note has been added to the slide.
Slide 42 - How many temps (linemen, etc.) did we hire/use? I see "crews" but not number of people in them. TH: We used 13 SMEU personnel on 16 hour shifts, with 24 hour coverage. We had an additional 8 contractors working 16 hour just days.
Slide 42 - Call centers "manned" ?! How about "staffed?" HM: The presentation has been revised with this change.
Next time, do we plan to contact the large businesses directly to see what they can power down? TH: We are already planning for a more effective outreach to our largest customers during any future event.
When can I do appreciation proclamations (or other documents, perhaps certificates of appreciation for each employee) for all who worked so hard for days? I know it will be a number of people, some who were working outside their usual scope of work. KS: We can have further discussions about when we may present a proclamation or certificate. If you would like to present something during the regular proclamation time, we may suggest May 18 which is near Public Service Recognition Week.
